Lamorna Cove and Lamorna Wink Inn
The famous Lamorna Wink is just a fifteen minute walk away in Lamorna Cove. It is a lovely quaint old fashioned pub. The original building was established many years ago and it is said that in times gone by "Winks" were a kind of establishment somewhere between a house and a pub. As such, "Winks" had different licensing regulations - though I am sure that modern laws have put an end to that! The Lamorna Wink is a "no-frills" inn with good ale and traditional food is served at lunchtimes.
Even if pubs aren't your thing, the walk from the Burnt Toast Cottage is spectacular! Leaving the cottage at the front, turn right onto the footpath and cross the field diagonally towards Lamorna Cove. Over the stile and into Lamorna woods. Just follow the coastal path down to Lamorna Cove and enjoy the views! In early Spring wild daffodils literally cover the landscape and rare wild orchids can often be seen. You need your boots but the trip is well worth it!
Follow the lane down past the Wink and Lamorna Cove itself is only a couple of minutes away. In Lamorna Cove you will find a nice tea-room and gift shop. The views are fantastic and you have a choice of coastal paths to follow. To the West is the lighthouse and then on to Porthcurno and Minack , or to the East, Mousehole is only about a mile away. Lamorna really is a rambler and nature lovers paradise!
